Having a valid ticket for the full duration of your journey is your own responsibility. If you have a discounted ticket, you must show valid ID. The school card serves as a valid ticket for school pupils who have been granted a free school bus service. Remember that a limit of two trips per day applies. For all ticket categories that entitle the passenger to age-specific discount or senior ticket, the passenger must show valid and approved ID. People who have been granted disability benefits (and are under the age of 67) must show supplementary information from the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration (NAV) to receive a discount. This also applies in the event of a ticket inspection. Companions of disabled passengers who cannot travel alone travel free of charge on our means of transport. You must be able to show a companion’s card in the event of a ticket inspection. Companion’s cards are issued to the disabled person by the municipal council. Identification requirements for discounted tickets Identification requirements apply for discounts due to age, compulsory military service, disability, disability or as a companion. You must buy a full-price ticket if you do not have valid identification to obtain a discounted ticket. You must request a discount and show valid identification when purchasing your ticket. Fines Anyone who is unable to show a valid ticket in the event of a ticket inspection will incur an additional charge equivalent to double the fare for the journey (minimum NOK 750). Invalid tickets will be confiscated. In the event of forged tickets/cards, an additional charge of NOK 1,500 applies. The attempted forgery of tickets is a criminal offence pursuant to Section 403 of the Penal Code and may be reported to the Police.
