Sensors on board the bus, express boat or ferry send information about its position, speed and other relevant information to a computer. The computer compiles incoming data and compares these with the times stated on the timetables. If there is a discrepancy with the time on the timetable, a corrected departure time is shown to travellers. In the event of major disruptions, messages are also posted in the system.
